Labor Day Weekend Retreat 2013

As every year, we will have a PREM RAS MADIRA retreat this year also in Dayton during the Labor Day Weekend, guided by Didi Ji. The retreat will begin in the morning of Saturday, Aug 31st and conclude in the afternoon of Monday, Sep 2nd.
The focus of the retreat will be very intensive sadhana during which songs from Prem Ras Madira will be chanted. Couplets and songs from other compositions of Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, may also be chanted.

Prem Ras Madira - part I & II, in Hindi or English. This book may be ordered online from our Online Gift Shop. Limited copies will be available for purchase at the retreat.

Transportation

Everyone is required to arrange his/her own transportation to and from the airport and to and from the motel.

Meals

Simple vegetarian meals will be prepared for all devotees.

Important Notes

Prepare yourself to observe silence throughout the retreat. This is the main rule of the retreat.
Children under the age of 8 are not allowed.
Accommodation is possible only in the motel.
Prem Ras Madira books may be ordered online by visiting our online gift shop. Limited copies will be available for purchase at the retreat.
Write your name with a Sharpie on the spine of your book for easier identification.

Registration Fee

There is no registration fee but you must register yourself to attend. Donations to Radha Madhav Society are appreciated.

Message from Kripalu Ji Maharaj

Dear Spiritual Aspirant (Sadhak),

You are the soul and not the body. Your beloved is Shri Krishna alone, and not your worldly parents, children, etc. To love your beloved, who means everything to you, is quite natural. He is omnipresent, hence you do not have to perform any spiritual practice to attain Him. If there is anything you can do, it is to consider youself bereft of devotion. Once you do this, and at the same time if you think that you belong to Shri Krishna, then He will accept you as His own. Unless you consider Him as your one and only, how will He consider you to be His?

Along with this, you have to keep in mind the fact that your faith and love should be directed towards none other than your Lord and your Guru. Your dealings with worldly people should be very limited. In other words, you should not be thinking about them, listening or talking to them, beyond what is absolute necessary.

The soul's utmost welfare lies in constantly remembering the fact that he has found a true Guru for himself, because the Guru who is non-different from God is present in front of him. Increase your faith in your Guru, to achieve which, contemplation on the mercy of your Guru and God is required.

Never consider yourself to be alone. Always feel their (God and Guru) presence with you everywhere.
